National Capital on top in metro city
According to NCRB data, cases of crime against women have increased every year in Delhi. In 2021, 13,982 cases were registered against women in the capital Delhi. Whereas, in 2022, an increase of 1.25 percent was recorded in these cases with 14,158 cases. Delhi was on top among 19 metro cities. After Delhi, Mumbai was second, where 6,176 cases were registered. This was followed by Bengaluru, where 3,924 cases were reported. Whereas in 2020, 9,782 cases were recorded in the capital Delhi.
Delhi becomes crime capital
According to the data of National Crime Records Bureau, 1204 rape cases were registered in Delhi in 2022. At the same time, 129 cases related to dowry system were reported. Five cases were reported of acid attacks and in 2022 alone, 3909 cases of kidnapping of women were reported.
Congress also made a big announcement
Parties are trying their best to woo women voters in Delhi. On the lines of Aam Aadmi Party, Congress has announced to launch Pyari Didi scheme on the lines of Karnataka model if it comes to power. Under this, a promise of Rs 2500 has been made to the women. Let us tell you, Aam Aadmi Party has promised to give Rs 2100 under Mahila Samman Yojana. Now everyone’s eyes are towards BJP. It is believed that on the lines of Ladli Behan Yojana, BJP can also make a big announcement for women in Delhi.
